We Dance Watford bring together six community dance groups in a celebration of work that has been devised in response to the 2016 National Big Dance themes. International award winning contemporary dance choreographer, Akram Khan has been commissioned by Big Dance to choreograph the Big Dance ‘Pledge’. Dance organizations across the country will be using this Pledge as a source of inspiration to create their own Big Dance events as a part of the bi annual national event.

On Sunday 5th June 2016,Watford Borough Council will bring together six local groups: consisting of age ranges from 7 – 80 yrs for a day of Pledge themed performances all staged on the stunning Big Dance Bus stage!

Alongside the showcase of performances, there will be choreographer talks and an interactive dance installation for everyone to get involved with. This will consist of a series of ‘dance tasks’ for anyone to pick up and bring to the dance floor.
